Ball & Claw Newsletter #11
It’s Spring! Not officially, but close enough. I see green bulbs pushing through the ground, the snow has melted and it’s light out well past 5pm, so that’s springish. More importantly, flea markets and antique fairs are being announced everywhere, and I am busy plotting the Ball and Claw event calendar for the spring, summer and fall.
Here’s the news of late…
We had a fantastic Material Matters show in NYC. We sold lots of stuff, met lots of people, and had a great time. Since we sold so much stuff, we’ve been out shopping like crazy and replenishing. There’s lots of new (old) art, furniture, jewelry and rugs to see, so if you haven’t been to the shop in a bit, now is the time.
This Friday, March 13, it’s time for a Shopping Happy Hour. From 5 - 8, we pop open the bubbles, turn up the tunes, and shop. We always have some laughs, meet new friends and make some deals. Join us after work or before you head out to dinner, the movies or a show.
Our 2nd Saturday Flea Market is starting on May 9. We are accepting vendors for this show now. If you are a dealer or just have a lot of cool antique/vintage items to sell you should join us. We are also looking for a DJ and a food truck/vendor to set up for shows. Spread the word. Apply on our website at www.ballandclawhv.com
Exciting news regarding the former coffee shop space. Atelier Marguerite, a lovely flower shop from Margretville, will be popping up in that spot from mid April - August. We are very excited to be able to offer fresh, local flower arrangements in our community.
We are actively looking for a small coffee truck/cart to live in our yard or circular driveway…..
Lastly, here are the 2 off-premise shows that we have on the books for this year, Rhinebeck Antiques Show on May 23-24 and The Taconic Antiques Show on September 26-27. There may be others, but for now, that is all.
