Ball & Claw Newsletter #4

Hello Ball and Claw Friend,

Thank you all for making this venture such a success. It’s still so new (only 9 months old) but the response to Ball and Claw has been phenomonal.

The News:

In mid January, Arios Coffeehaus took over the coffee shop. Anthony stopped in for an iced latte, and ended up taking the reigns of that business. I am thrilled to have him and his vision in that part of the shop. He makes excellent coffee drinks, smoothies and snacks. Having Anthony take that over that part of the business frees me up to concentrate on the antique store and soon the upstairs workshop/studio.

Yes, the upstairs rooms are now OPEN. We are still doing little updates here and there, but if you come to the store, you can see what we’ve been working on. I am hopeful in the coming weeks the last piece of the upstairs puzzle will be completeld, and the studio will be open for business. Please reach out about any courses you might be interested in teaching OR taking. We’d love to have a variety of offerings, everything and anything from knitting, embroidery, drawing, painting, weaving, tarot card reading, lamp rewiring, simple furniture repairs, framing your art, learning about antiques, decorating, sailor’s knots, poetry writing, upholstery, life drawing, book clubs…..

We can also host various events in the shop, from book signings, grown up birthday parties, lecture series, pop ups, chamber music groups, who knows what we can do here.

Ball and Claw will be hosting a monthly Flea Market in the yard, every 2nd Saturday of the month from May - September. There will be a large tent and room on the lawn for vendors. If you’d like to be a part, please send me an email maria@ballandclawhv.com.

If you have a few pieces or a whole estate that you would like to sell, please send us a message. We are looking for fine antiques (over 100 years old), unique vintage pieces, well made designer furniture, gold, jewelry and estate pieces. Feel free to email or text photos of some pieces to see if we can take them on for you.

Lastly,

This Memorial Day Weekend, you will find us at the Rhinebeck Antiques Fair (May 24/25). The following weekend (May 30- June 1), Ball & Claw has been invited back to Field and Supply at Hutton Brick Yard. Very excited to be sourcing all kinds of old treasures to bring to these markets and as always, to the store.

Thank you all again for signing up to this newsletter and visiting the shop. It means so much to me and all the vendors in the shop. Hope to see you soon.

Love,

Maria, Jason, Allison, Grace, Pauline, Frank and all of the crew at B & C
